Fuel sender not reading

I have an RV-9A with Skyview HDX 1100 instrumentation and Van's resistive fuel sender units in each wing. R tank fuel gauge works well. I could not calibrate the L tank after finishing my build and so changed the sender unit in the L tank and recalibrated. It seemed to work for a day or two then failed - showing 0 fuel in the L tank regardless of the actual fuel level. Voltage shows 2.8V coming from the L tank so I assume the wiring is intact. Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot/fix other than replacing the fuel sender unit (again)?

Thanks

I think the next step in troubleshooting is verifying that the sensor is working,. Making sure that the sensor shows a different voltage when the level in the tank changes. Either by adding or removing fuel from the tank. If the measured voltage stays the same for two clealy different fuel levels then the sensor is suspect (either electrical or mechanical), but if the measured voltage changes, then is seems to point to an issue with the Dynon calibration values and the calibration may need to be re-done

I burned three gallons of fuel from the L tank (from 10 to 7 gallons). Tank still shows empty - voltage still the same (about 2.8v). Unfortunately I guess my next step is to pull the tank and change the sensor.
