I just upgraded from 15.02, i think, to 15.1. I noticed a discrepancy after the upgrade, wrt Fuel Used. I take a screenshot when i shutdown each flight to capture various flight statistics. When flying the return leg, i noticed that my Fuel Used as higher than i expected. I realized that SV did not reset Fuel Used back to ZERO like it normally does on restart.
HOWEVER, I actually prefer this behaviour now. Is there anyway we can keep this, possibly? Or add an additional parameter that will save Fuel Used across restarts? That way we have the best of both worlds? I will call this new parameter "Total Fuel Used".
Reasons why I like it.
1. I would like it if Total Fuel Used showed me total fuel used since my last fill-up. I know i filled up for 60 gallons total, i enter the info to the fuel dialog and Total Fuel Used resets to zero. I do a flight with 2 or 3 legs without refueling. At the end of the third flight, Total Fuel Used says i used 40 gallons. Fuel Remaining says I have 20 gallons. I like the logic of this.
Fuel Used would only say I used 5 gallons from the last leg only.
2. Skyview has rebooted in flight in the past. When it does this, Fuel Used resets itself back to zero as well. You effectively LOST data while inflight. With Total Fuel Used, hopefully, it retains its last value. Thus, you will not lose any data if SV does a reboot.
