Both my wingman and I have installed new dual screen HDX Skyview / Advanced Panel systems this year. Systems have the latest firmware installed. We will frequently encounter a problem where a button is pressed, an audible click is heard, but the function is not invoked.
In my case, it frequently happens to me when using the Fuel Computer screen. After topping off my tanks, I'll press the "FULL" button and the Fuel Computer will set my Current Fuel Computer Quantity to 42. This works 100% of the time. However, when I press "ACCEPT", the system doesn't always update and the fuel computer screen is dismissed. My fuel remaining quantity shows the amount before I topped off my tanks. If I then bring up the Fuel Computer screen, it too will show the amount of fuel I had in the tanks prior to topping off. When this happens, I will press "FULL" again and press "ACCEPT" and it may or may not update.
Today it felt like Groundhog day. After filling up, and before starting my engine, I tried 4 times to update my fuel quantity without any luck. I started my engine, tried again, and it worked. Go figure.
In my wingman's case, he will press the AIRPORT to COM button and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
The buttons are engaging since we can hear the click and in my case it will dismiss the Fuel Computer screen.
Also, during data entry setup after using the HDX knob to select a character, pressing the knob doesn't always advance the cursor. I sometimes have to press it 2 or 3 times.
Anyone else experiencing button pressing anomalies?
