I'd like to re-new my request for an added EGT normalizing function. This seems like an easy add to the system that has not been added yet. This would be a valuable fuction for those flying with large 6, 8, 9 cylinder engines to quickly spot any changes to EGT that may need attention. As we know, EGT is a faster sensor that CHT and would give a faster real time indication of cylinder performance. We also know that EGT placement in the exhaust has some inevitable variables that will have placement differences and ultimately causing temperature differences. As a pilot of a large radial and A&P, I find this real time data valuable. Thanks.

I guess no one else sees value in such a function? Would be a relatively easy change to make and the value it gives is very useful for identifying early issues and changes.

I set my EGT yellow zone at 1200° to help remind me to lean during climb. When the coolest EGT goes below it catches my eye.

I wouldn't say the CHT sensors are less sensitive, they just move more slowly due to thermal dynamics.
