Is setting the ALLOW AUTO SWITCH setting to YES (LABEL100) all that is necessary in order to get the GPS 175 to automatically inject flight plans, (and changes to flight plans), including waypoints and specified approach procedures into the Skyview flight plan? ... or is there another setting that is required?

If so, what other actions are required to trigger the data transfer? Is activating the flight plan the trigger to initiate the transfer, or is some other action required?

Never mind, I think I found it... On page 12-10 of the Skyview Installation manual (Rev AJ), last two-line paragraph, it says:
Go to SETUP MENU > MAP SETUP and select TIE FLIGHT PLAN SRC TO HSI NAV SRC to select whether you want the flight plan source to be independent from the HSI navigation source.
I'm not sure, but I think if this is set to yes, then you would only have to select the GPS 175 as the source for the HSI (which would be used for the Autopilot) and the flight plan displayed on the map would also be sourced from the GPS 175. If set to No, then you would also have to go into the flight plan menu and specify that the flight plan also be sourced from the GPS 175.

The ALLOW AUTO SWITCH setting is really more about GPS/VOR/ILS receivers like 430W, 650, etc. If it's set to yes then changing from GPS to VLOC on the Garmin will automatically change the HSI source.

Don, will it also change the CDI nav source to an ILS Localizer signal from an ILS receiver on a serial port, if it uses the SL30 protocol, (like an SL30, or a VAL NAV 2000)?

Or does it only work with ILS signals in the same box as the GPS, on the same ARINC-429?
