Would it be possible to incorporate a gear up warning into the EFIS units.
The warning, audible tone/voice alert " Gear Not Down", could be activated when the airspeed is below a predetermined value and the gear is not down (one of the GP inputs).
I have considered doing this externally using a small micro to strip the airspeed from the serial data logging stream (Data logging needs to be on) or the DSAB (packet structure and hardware protocol not published), however I believe it could be incorporated into the existing hardware with a software upgrade making my life much easier
Regards,
Wayne
