Getting into Setup Mode when "Messages" present

At times, when I am trying to get into setup mode (Buttons 7 + 8 for two seconds) and I have a "Message" I have a hard time getting it to recognize the(7+8 buttons). I do this a lot on the ground with the engine not running so I have a lot of error messages popping up.

I am running two HDX screens and this issue does not seem nearly as relevant\systemic on the right screen.

I have often stopped working\fighting with the left screen (trying to get it into setup mode) and just use the right screen.

I do not think this is a issue with the buttons rather is seems the system is not recognizing that buttons 7+8 have been pressed?

Any others seeing this issue.

I find that the buttons are not very reliable. Sometimes I have to twitch the buttons a little bit to get them to function.

If a message pops up and you tap button 8 does the messages show and then disappear when you tap button 8? If so button 8 is working good.

Try and setup a flight plan on the screen that requires the push of button 7 and see if tapping the button 7 cycles through the pages.

Good suggestion.

I use Button 8 all the time, so I think it is working, I will check Button 7 as I do not use it that often
