Getting sound alerts from Skyview

Hi, I have the SL40 but it isn't connected to the Skyview. Does it need to be connected to the Skyview to get warning sound alerts from the EMS and stalls?
If I do need to wire the SL40 to the Skyview, could someone give me some help?

I'm afraid there is no input on SL40 itself.

Thanks, I also have the PM-1000II Intercom. Could that be wired into the Skyview for alerts?

It has two entertainment (music) inputs, so you could hook it into those. The one thing that's not ideal about music inputs on the PM1000II is that they are muted during intercom or radio activity. Ideally, you want alerting inputs to be non-muting, because if something's wrong, that's more important than intercom or radio chatter. Our SV-INTERCOM-2S actually addresses this with a gaggle of inputs for music, SkyView, and other devices you may have in your aircraft.

Thank you, If I do wire the PM 1000II Aux music jack to the Skyview, will I still have radio comunication with the passenger?

I rewired the PM1000 for sound from the Skyview. Is there any way to check to make sure the sound works without having the engine running?

Yes, it is simple.  Have all the Skyview screens turned off completely.  Have the other A/C systems that support the audio turned on, like the PM1000 etc.

Then, turn on only one Skyview screen.  During boot up it will announce "Dynon Skyview".  Then, power down that Skyview screen and try the other (if there is one).  That second screen should do like the first if the wiring is all correct.  Repeat with any further screens.  This proves that the audio outs from all screens are connected together and then to the PM1000.

Under normal circumstances, the audio comes out of the first Skyview that boots up and you don't care which one that is.  That is why all the audio outs have to be ganged together.

The rest of the audio alerts that you will hear depend on your individual settings on the setup screens.  Check the installation manual for details.

I wired it up but no sound when I boot up. Do I need to tell Skyview to turn on the sound, for boot up?
Here is how I wired it up. I removed the Aux music jack wires, from the PM1000 and wired them to the Skyview.
I spliced Music 1 Hi (pin 20 PM1000) to Skyview Audio left (pin 13 and audio right pin 3). I spliced these three wires together.
I wired Music Lo (pin 7 PM1000) to audio ground (pin 30 Skyview).
Any help will be appreciated,

There must be a problem with the wiring. The Boot Sound is on and all the other sounds are set to VOISE. I need help with wiring the PM1000 sound to Skyview.

I'm not sure if it is a typo in your post- but is should be SV 37 pin connector pins 13 and 31 that are shorted and tied to your audio panel pin 20.

Other than that do you have the volume for SV and the audio panel turned up? Re: Page 4-18 of the SV manual rev P.

Thanks for the help. I was told the PM1000 wouldn't work with Skyview so I'm going to replace it with the PM3000.

Though the PM1000 isn't ideal for SkyView as outlined in our post above, its audio should still make it into the intercom.
