Dear

After updating firmware/software to the newest version, included high, medium and low resolution map,
SV is not showing a map.
Any suggestions, where to start?

GPS 250 was working fine till now..

It is installed at COM port 5, position 1. With no TX and many errors.

Thanks :)

(Revised - didn't initially see the photos included).

SkyView doesn't transmit data to the SV-GPS-250 so no TX is normal. You SHOULD, however, be seeing the numbers on the RX counter counting up.

Do you have two SkyView displays? If so, is the SV-GPS-250 only connected to one display (other than the one shown)? If so, the SV-GPS-250 must be connected to BOTH SkyView displays.

If you have only one display, from the info provided, the SV-GPS-250 appears to have (coincidentally) failed.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue after the last update. Dual screen and switched them from position to check cabling, but the issue remains with the secondary screen. Contacted support, no solution other than sending them in for review. I already got the feeling that it was software related, your post conform it.

What version did you update from, and to? We're not aware of any issue such as you're describing in v13.0.3.

What version did you update from?

If you include some screenshots (with a USB flash drive inserted, push buttons 2+7) of the serial port setup for the two GPS units we could assist you better.

I have a single SV D-1000 system I'm just beginning to set up. For now the only device I have connected to the Skyview is the GPS-250. I have the same results on the Serial Port 5 setup screen as the OP in this thread: Incrementing Group Errors with zero TX, RX, Sentence Errors or Good Sentences. I removed all of my connection splices and hand-clamped the 4 pairs of wires to see if it was just bad wiring on my part, but the results didn't change. What else am I missing here?

Should be a four wire connector already attached. It's been a few years, but I believe my harness came with the connector attached as did the GPS-250. Just plugged them together.

No connectors on mine, but very clear instructions from Dynon as to which wires should be connected. I had a brainstorm in the middle of the night last night I explored this morning: Could the power wire be bad? So I substituted the GPS-bundled power wire with a different power wire from the 37-pin connector and now it works. :)
