Hi DYNON (and others),

I have been looking for but did not find the max amperage available on pin 29. It would be extremely convenient to power my ADSB-472 as well as my GPS 2020. Total draw is stated as 300mA for both In the HDX installation manual. Since THE ADSB-472 is useless in my installation if the only HDX screen goes out and the screen has a circuit breaker, this seems like a low risk option.

I respect the argument that anything drawing power should be fused but the GPS draws 100mA directly on pin 29, so it is not unprecedented even in DYNON documentation.

Regards,
Craig

Craig,
You can't use the pin for GPS power to power the ADSB module. The GPS runs on 8 volts and ADSB is 12 volts
