Thanks for your help on getting the graycode to both my xpndr and to my GNC250XL GPS. That part is working well. All the GPS data seems to be coming over for the HSI so I seem to be communicating with the GPS well.

The only thing that does not work is the Sync to GPS Time. I still have the keep alive power on. Do I need to disconnect that? Is there something I need to setup, or do, in either the EFIS or The GNC250XL to get this feature working?

My airplane won't be flying for a couple more months and I want to get all this worked out while I still have acces to the back of the panel for wiring changes.

Thanks --- Lynn Coltharp

Lynn,
The Garmin units that use the "aviation" format don't output the time over serial, so there's no way we can pick it up and use it. Only units that use NMEA-183 can sync to the time.

If you use NMEA, there's no setup. We'll sync the time if we can.

Thanks for your help. I am glad I did not pull out the keep alive wire. It is no big deal to set the time. Looks like I am in business.

Thanks --- Lynn
