On todays flight when I went to change from GPS to ILS navigation by pressing the CDI button on my G430W, nothing happened. I had to go to the PFD page and press the HSI button until the green LOC indication showed up. Prior to this (with v14) the SkyView GPS (Magenta) or VLOC (Green) navigation source was selected by using the G430W CDI button without having to go thru the PFD page. Is this a change in v15.0.3 or do I have to do something in the setup now?

BTW, this is a REAL NICE workload reducing feature (v14), especially when flying actual IMC.

Nothing should have changed there, but the one place to check is the auto-switch setting:

SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > ARINC-429 > ALLOW AUTO SWITCH.

Setting ALLOW AUTO SWITCH: to YES (LABEL 100P) (which is the default, including after upgrading firmware to v10.0 or later from before) allows the 430/530/GTN to tell SkyView to switch from GPS to ILS or back when on an ILS overlay approach - SkyView will display whatever mode the 430/530/GTN tells SkyView to be in. When in this mode and not on an approach, switching between the NAV function and GPS function must be performed from the 430/530/GTN.

If you want to manually select GPS and NAV from the 430/530/650, SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > ARINC-429 > ALLOW AUTO SWITCH: NO

You upgraded from 14.x, right?

Once again, that is excellent customer service support from Dynon.
Without a doubt, Dynon has the best support in the industry.

I called DYNON tech support and they were WONDERFUL! We verified everything and came to the conclusion it was a configuration not a software update issue. We found the Serial port setup was not correct and that was causing the problem. Turns out I had done some changes there before I did the v15 upgrade and caused the issue. Since I hadn't used this particular feature since before the upgrade, I had not noticed the feature wasn't working. Now everything is working as it should. Another reminder of why I will always be a loyal Dynon customer.

FWIW I went and took screen photos of every configuration page of every piece of equipment I have. Now if a problem or situation shows up in the future, I can go back and see exactly what every setting was when it was working. This would have saved me a LOT of time and frustration on my part.

Also, download the current configuration files and store them on your computer or a USB stick. They're human-readable, as well, so you can see all the configuration parameters for everything.

I did that but also took photos of the other equipment configuration screens like my Garmin 430W, VAL INS-429, Garmin AERA, TRIO Autopilot, etc.
