GX-65 Works on D-100/HS-34

Just wanted to give you an update on something that I thought was still unknown. I just finished installing the D-100 and HS-34 in my RV-8A. The inputs to the HS-34 are an SL-30 and a GX-65. The SL-30 has already been known to be compatible (but I still have an issue I will post separately). Went up today after playing with some settings and can confirm the GX-65 also works fine on the HSI display portion of the D-100.

The settings I used for the GX-65 in the HSI setup window are:

Input--aviation
Output--none
Baud rate--9600

I assume this means all of the other GX versions will work too.

Again, this was with the GX-65 wired via the HS-34. I do not know if wiring the GX directly to the D-100 will also work.

what did you use on the gx65? Mapcom or movmap? ...or something else?

do you know the OS software version of the GX65?

My GX-65 channel 1 is set to transmit mapcom and receive nav. The latest software upgrade I had was several years ago and I show it as 3.5. If there is something newer out, I don't have it.
