GX50 connected to Skyview.

Can anyone confirm whether the Apollo GX50 will connect to and show the HSI on the Skyvie?. I am looking to get the gps and use for IFR purposes. Part of the installation requirements say I must have an external CDI or HSI. So, has one done this successfully.

The GX60 is confirmed to work - http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1372187682/0 - so I THINK you're in luck. It looks like the GX50 is the same thing without the radio...

I have a GX60 connected to my SkyView, works great through the HSI.

It looks like I hooked the GX60 TX to the SkyView RX. Used the following settings:
-Serial in device: Generic Aviation
-Serial in Function: GPS 2
-Serial in/out baud rate: 9600
-Serial out device: None
