HDX software update issue

I downloaded Skyview HDX 17.6 software using US Software Pkg Downloads. Installation to #1 HDX worked fine. #2 HDX attempt to download received msg "Incompatable Software Version". After exiting #2 HDX, I received warning msg on #1 HDX "EMS SFG file mismatch".

#2 HDX is newer Firmware than #1.

Suggestion on how to fix??

Turn on each display individually, and update them alone, without the other powered on.
 
I tried your suggestion with no luck. Powered up #1 HDX with #2 off and updated--"SKYVIEW 16 7 8 US PACKAGE CLASSIC AUG 06.DUC ". Turned it off and turned on #2 and attempted update--same msg "Incompatable Software Version".

Maybe a problem with different HDX firmware? HDX #1 -- SN1392; HDX #2 -- SN035058???

Other suggestions?
 
Okay, I didn't read closely enough. Your mismatch is with a sensor configuration (sfg) file, not the system software. You need to make sure both displays have the same sensor configuration files. My apologies for not seeing that before.
 
I had that same issue (I think) when I updated. I have a 7 and a 10 HDX. They take different firmware. I got the message "Incompatable Software Version"
What worked for me was just shutting down both screens then upon booting reloading the HDX with the issue.

I successfully downloaded the most recent software onto both displays. One issue resolved.

I did the "Config" on # 1 and re-booted. Still have the "EMS SFG file mismatch" msg on #1 display.

????

Read post #4 above. Your problem isn't with the system software. It's one of your custom SFG sensor profiles that isn't matching. That isn't something you download. It's something you created for your setup. When you make custom settings for your installation, set up widgets, etc., it creates two custom sensor SFG files for those settings. Apparently the settings for your displays don't match, and it's giving you that error. The software update process is supposed to create backup copies of those files, save them to your USB drive, and then restore them after the update, but that doesn't always work correctly. There's a section on page 3-19 in the current Installation Manual that tells you how to export and import the SFG files from one display, and upload it onto the other, so they match. Or, they might still be on the USB drive.
