There has been several suggestions that a head up display would be very desirable, but potentially expensive both in terms of time and money.
The EFIS serial bus outputs many useful bits of information.
Today there are several manufacturers of small and inexpensive LED head up displays mainly for cars. These are driven by road speed inputs or GPS speed data. They are small and designed to be stuck on the glare shield .

With a suitable decoder, surely the EFIS serial bus could be decoded and used to drive one of these displays thus providing Airspeed whilst looking through the wind shield. Cars now have it......why not us?
