I'm having a devil of a time getting my Dynon D100 to work properly.
It's getting data by way of a Garmin 296 in an RV-7A. After turning, the heading indicating on the Dynon lags terribly, so does the HSI (which is again getting data from the Garmin).
Today, for example, I made a 90 degree turn and heading northwest and the dynon indicated I was heading 270. The Garmin was reporting, correctly, that I was heading 320.
Slowly -- possibly a minute -- the Dynon came around and indicated properly , but this is not a comfortable situation for me.
Doublecheck my work. I went to the NOAA site for Lakeville, MN, entered 55044 in the zip code and got an inclination of 71 degrees 33' and the total field of 55718.
I then went to the compass rose and calibrated. And, as I said, EVENTUALLY, both headings on the Garmin and the Dynon agree.
Any suggestions what I should try next.
