My oil pressure typically stays at 72-74 psi in normal cruise flight (Lycoming 0-360). Last flight, it was reading in the 80's, with excursions into the 90's then back down to the 80's. No other gauges/readings were abnormal, to include a normal oil temperature reading. Again, all other gauges were rock solid steady with normal readings.
I replaced the oil pressure sender and replaced the wire that connects the oil pressure sender to the Dynon D120 EMS. I also grounded the oil pressure sender with an extra ground wire to assure a good ground. I conducted a ground run and the D120 oil pressure still read 85-90 psi at about 2200 rpm. I then did a ground run with a mechanical gauge plumbed into the system. The mechanical gauge read 70 psi while the D120 EMS read 85 psi at about 2200 rpm.
What else should I try? I'm beginning to think I may need to send in the D120 for repair? Any suggestions?
