Help with Config.

1 st question? Does the skyview 1000 configure the Serial ports?
2nd ? Does the serial ports recognize automatically the GPS and other devices?
I have other devices on serial ports and they were not recognized at all.


My situation, I have run the config program and the TXpndr was not recognized. I do not know if this is normal. I did however activate the TXpndr and found it working at least on the transit side and saw no receive and saw errors build. My airplane is not finished totally and it is in the shop, so it cannot receive from the controller, I think this is normal.



Any help would be appreciated.

Questions 1 and 2. No, it would be nice, but Skyview doesn't configure the serial ports automatically. You have to manually configure each serial port. See Page 4-12 of the Installation manual. It has details of how to configure the serial ports.
