Hello,

I did a first engine start today and had a higher than normal RPM indication (about 4-500 across the various power settings) Idle was about 1000 and what would normally be about 1000-1200 RPM indicated 1800 or so. (I estimated RPMs based on sound)

I have dual P-mags with 12V Standard RPM outputs. both LH and RH are connected.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have an o-320. I could not find in the set up where I could adjust the RPM settings.

How do you know what the pulses per rev are supposed to be?

Typically the PPR is set at 1/2 the # cylinders. Your o320 should be set at 2PPR.

Thanks! I looked in the P-mag installation instructions and bingo, there it was 2 PPS!
