HSI display frm Garmin 430 info

I have installed the EFIS D100 tray and remote compass and will be ready to receive the D-100 soon. I noticed you have added the capability of an HSI display which is excellent news. However, you only mention that it can be displayed from a SL30 but did not mention if it will be able to display the HSI information from a Garmin 430, my planned source of GS/LOC and VOR information. Will this be possible? : :-/

You can display GPS information from a 430 but not VOR/LOC. The 430 doesn't output the VOR/LOC information over the serial port so we can't read it.

I hooked up the spare serial output from my GNS 430 (this was how the wire was labelled from the avionics shoppe) to the black and white wire heading towards the EMS 37 pin plug. Then made sure I saw an "Auto" in the top left of the MAG/VAR screen.

All I get is a round DG display on the D100 with a bug on it.

Am I missing a step or should I see the data from the 430 on the EFIS (DSAB is connected and functioning correctly)

Did you configure that specific output on the 430 to be in "Aviation" format?

No I didn't ...Don't suppose you know how to do that by any chance?.....
