HSI twitching

On a recent flight the HSI would twitch back and forth about 30 degrees at a rate of once per secons. I was on GPS 1 (Garmin430) with no destination programed in the reciever. Worked fine when I entered a destination. Any thoughts?

What other GPS sources do you have in the aircraft? Were they programmed to any destination? If it happens again if you can reproduce it reliably, can you take a video of the PFD and a report of your full configuration and send it to support at dynonavionics.com so we can track what you're seeing?

Only the 430 and the internal skyview GPS, niether had a destination. If I see it again I will try and capture it with my Iphone
