Hello Dynon,

I just received your last newsletter about the 13.03 version and the possibility to have ICAO charts on the Skyview via Pocket FMS. I went on the Pocket FMS website...nothing about that. On the contrary, they said ( see the red NOTE) we can't load ICAO charts on Skyview..
I sent them a message but don't have any reply at the moment.

Please, can you help me ?

Salut,
I've received the following message from Pocket Fms :

We are working hard to get this up and running, we expect the French ICAO
chart will be ready for Dynon Skyview around aug 19th.

Kind regards,
Rob Weijers

It works ! After 2 years of patience I have ICAO charts on my Skyview. Very Good. Thank you very much Dynon.

The only problem is : I have 2 Skyview D1000 in my aircraft and the second one (the slave) cannot read the ICAO chart whereas it read the Pocketfuls Airfield plates on the same USB key...
I hope you debug that soon
Sincerely
Sylvain

A SkyView display cannot read data on a USB flash drive plugged into another SkyView display.

What you're referring to is aviation data (PocketFMS) loaded INTO the SkyView display, and then automatically copied from one unit to the other.

If you would like to display charts on both of your SkyView displays, EACH SkyView display must have a USB flash drive with the charts data plugged into EACH display.

With a USB in each screen, the second skyview no read the data because the key file is for the first skyview number and not for second

Yes, as Thierry said, here is the problem. When I put the USB key in the second screen, the second screen don't see the charts, whereas it sees the pocketfuls airfield plates which are also on the same USB key.
You have to allocate the data for the second screen too.

There is indeed a small bug here that we'll have the fix in our next release. SkyView is supposed to allow the display of charts if any of the displays in the system match the serial number of the display that the USB stick is coded to. In other words, if you have displays 1234 and 2345, and you have a PocketFMS account that is tied to 1234, you should be able to make two sticks and use them on both displays (because display 2345 can see it's connected to 1234).

Sylvain:

This is scheduled to be fixed in our next SkyView firmware release, which will be released before the end of the year, but the exact release date hasn't been determined.
