Installation Manual, revision T, page 5-6. Just did mine after installing replacement 2nd ADAHRS. Pretty straight forward and easy, couple of 360's and I had 100 score, a little more maneuvering and I maxed at 115.

Thanks for the assist Bob M.

John, keep in mind that when we introduce a new feature such as In-flight Compass Calibration, because it's a NEW feature, it won't be in any pre-existing manuals. Just download the latest version of the SkyView System Installation Guide and the SkyView Pilot's User Guide that are released concurrent with the new version of SkyView software.

My compass calibration (dual D700 and dual ADAHRS) has always been an issue and, lately, it's been showing a 50 knot crosswind so I decided to do the air calibration. It seemed to work fine for the 200 unit and I got a quality of 115 or so but the other, 201 unit never registered anything. It shows up with the Ground calibration but in the spaces above (heading and quality), they remained blank. Any suggestions?

Turn off the 200 unit and then do the air calibration? Hopefully you don't need dual AHRS to calibrate both.

They should both show numbers at the same time. I'll check to see what that means with our development team.

One thing you might check is whether that ADAHRS is actaully online. Does everything look normal under the NETWORK STATUS page?

We're a little stumped here. A couple of screenshots during the calibration and a diagnostic log after trying to calibrate would be helpful here. Instructions for getting a log to us are here: dynon.aero/reportlog

You can send screenshots (press buttons 2+7 with a USB stick; screenshots will be an a folder on the stick named 'screenshots') to support at dynonavionics dot com. Include a link to this thread.

Sorry for the long delay.  I have some screen shots that I'll send you; actually photos from my cell phone but you'll see what you need to sea.  I bought the external compass at Oshkosh so I'm hoping that this will resolve the more chronic issues I've had with magnetic interference but I will still need to calibrate the ADAHRS.

That's odd, indeed. If you install the external magnetometer it over-rides the magentic sensors in the ADARHS entirely, even if the magnetometer fails (the idea here is that if you have the magnetometer, you likely have ADAHRS-based magnetometer sensors that aren't very calibrate anyway, and in an emergency you still have GPS ground track).

In network setup, are you seeing both ADAHRS? Can you, from SETUP MENU > PFD SETUP > ADAHRS SOURCE SELECTION, see both ADAHRS? If you use the compare screen, does anything look amiss there?

I'll check on all of that and get back to you. I had to leave my plane at another airport over the weekend because the weather was bad here and we couldn't get back in but I'll get it back this weekend.

Just checked all of this; one ADAHRS is selected and the other is "Standby" and nothing looks amiss. I did a calibration just before shutting down the engines and it all seemed to go well so I'm going to try another air calibration in a day or two and I'll take a thumb drive along to get screen captures, should they be required.
