I am a bit confused about this. On the wiring guide power is supplied to pin 13 but dose not explain where the power comes from. Dose it just come from a switch or somewhere else that I am missing?

Thanks Dannie

6adan, power would normally come from your main power buss, or avionics power buss if designed that way.  Always fuse or breaker.  Dynon says power draw is 0.1 A, so a 1 amp breaker is sufficient.  You normally wouldn't add a switch to an intercom. A general "power in" designation is almost always from a power buss.

Pin 13 is power to the intercom. When there's power here, the intercom is on. It's up to your aircraft electrical design to figure out where this is switched in your plane, since there are many different opinions on how a plane should be wired.

The wiring diagram on the installation manual shows a circuit breaker. The are a few ways to go. To me, it doesn't make sense to add a switch, since you can turn it off with the intercom controls already. For the circuit breaker, you can wire it to a separate circuit breaker or run power to it from the avionics master switch. I don't use an avionics master so I have the power running through a fuse first.
Hope this helps.
