RV-12 Skyview with Garmin SL40.
To transmit on VHF causes the CHT gauges to rocket from 0 to 210 plus C. Release and they return to 0. Can anyone offer an explanation for what may be causing this phenomenon?

It's a hardware issue that we know about and can fix, but we'll need to see your EMS module to do so. Give our support staff a call at 425-402-0433 or an email at support at dynonavionics dot com and they can help you further. Know that other than the spurious readings, you're not doing any damage to your system or other components. Obviously, the temperatures aren't real either.

Sorry, but my colleagues got this one wrong. This is not a known issue.

The issue we know about is with thermocouples, but the CHTs on a Rotax 912 are not thermocouples.

First off, is 0C correct when not transmitting?

The most likely thing that can cause CHT to rise is a bad ground between the engine and the EMS. Is this a flying plane or still being built?
