Is there anywhere the serial number is stored

My airport is 45 minutes away. I was looking through my exported files from the skyview to see if I could find the serial number. I see everything except the display itself. Am I missing it? Is it stored somewhere in one of the .dfg files? I want to see if I could have one of the units with the noisy audio. Thanks.

It isn't in the config files. Though of the units that are "possibly affected", not all of them will actually exhibit the issue. So therefore, it's best to hook up the audio first and see if your unit is actually affected if it's within the "possibly affected" group.

How do you find out the issue and possibly affected unit serial numbers?

The SkyView 3.3 release notes have a link to this bulletin, which lists how to check your unit and serial numbers that may be affected:

http://dynonavionics.com/docs/support_bulletin_030512.html

Summary:

Units Possibly Affected:
SV-D700 - S/N 1287 to 1623*
SV-D1000 - S/N 1135 to 1566*

*EXCEPT those that have a small sticker on the side of the unit reading: “QC 341” This sticker indicates that this unit has already been updated by Dynon to correct this issue.
