Issues at RPM

Dear Dynon Support,

I'm having three issues which I had thought were unrelated but now I'm wondering. All three seem RPM related only exhibiting issues above ~1000 rpm. Turning off the alternator or switching to either mag has no effect.

1) Serial port errors on all three ports in use. The one that seems to impact operation is on the port used by my SL30. Nav guidance is intermittently lost when tuned to a VOR or ILS. At idle, it is rock solid.

2) RPM reading fluctuates between correct reading and ~500-800 over correct reading.

3). Airspeed indicate randomly fluctuates between zero and ~20 knots.

Input would be appreciated.

1) Could be a grounding issue between the unit and the SL30. Is there a dedicated ground line between the two?
2) What engine? If Lycoming/Continental, could indicate you need to step up the default above the 30K default.
3) When there's no wind or vacuum drawn on the static port? Confirm that first. Also, you might try using the HARDWARE CALIBRATION > ADAHRS CALIBRATION > ZERO PRESSURE AIRSPEED CALIBRATION routine.

I checked and in fact I was using two different ground blocks for the SL30 and the Skyview. Moved the Skyview ground to the shared block and that seems to have cured the problem.

Lycoming O-360. Would the wrong resistor value cause intermittent spikes in the readings or consistently wrong readings?

Ran the calibration and have not seen the issue since. I'll keep an eye on it.

Looks like 2 out of 3 resolved!!!
