Jeppesen database

Has anyone done a onetime Jeppesen nav database for use in Canada , and the reverted to the free dynon nav database afterward. Trying to figure if it is worth the sidestep for a single trip up and back to Alaska thru BC, AB, and YT
Is the jeppesen database downloaded just like the dynon database on to the jump drive?

I purchased a one time Jeppesen NAV and OBS database for North America to see what it looked like. I then switched to PocketFMS. I'm pretty sure I can download the free Dynon database and use it again and then switch back to Pocket FMS at any time. The Jeppesen, PocketFMS and Dynon all load off the USB drive the same way.

I compared the Jeppesen database (on Skyview) to the Garmin GPS495 and they looked identical. I believe Garmin uses the Jeppesen database if you want to see what it looks like. You can buy all of North America for Skyview which will include Mexico to Alaska.
