I just got my 2x HDX installed in my RV-10 and wonder which Nav Data is best for the unit and do I need to purchase/install any other data?
Much appreciated in advance for all the information.

It looks like avplan has more features for less $$. Their website quoted

"Additionally, exclusive access to our geo-referenced airport diagrams and instrument approach procedures is also provided (DAP East & West)

Lastly, a digital data set for Australia (Airports, ALAs, Navigation Aids, Waypoints, Airspace, Obstacles and more) is also included."

I am not sure if Jeppesen has all of those features because I can't find a link on their website. Much appreciated if someone can confirm? Will give them a call today.

Been doing this IFR in our RV10 for 11 years....... I also made the AvPlan-Dynon connection happen back in 2014, so I do have some in depth exposure.

We dropped Jepp and adopted AvPlan back in 2012(I think), then went to SV charts in 2014 naturally. So far I have not come across anything better. If I had, I would tell you what I was using instead. :)

Many thanks for the information David!
I tried the adplanefb and loaded it yesterday. Had some problem with the 32gb usb but the supplied 16gb booted and installed fine.
I figured that I would go this way and use the jeppesen on the avidyne 540 to have both Nav data sets.

Very reassuring to know that I am on the right track with your message. Much appreciated mate.
