My build engine is bristling with Kavlico solid state sensors, since I had believed that they were impervious to vibration from the engine.
An acquaintance claims that Dynon told him to not mount these on the engine, since the vibration would kill them! Can that be correct?

From the manual, page 7-35

Kavlico Brand Dynon-Supplied Brand Oil Pressure Sensor (101693-000)

Mount the oil pressure sensor securely using an Adel clamp or other method such as using a transducer mounting block on the firewall. Dynon does not recommend mounting the sensor directly to the engine to minimize the chance of mechanical failure of the transducer due to engine vibration. Unlike Dynon’s older oil pressure sensor, the Kavlico pressure sensor has a dedicated ground wire, eliminating the need to use the sensor case as ground.
