I'm connecting my two Plasma II Plus units to the Dynon Skyview EMS system and have a few questions:

1) I'm connecting the tach output (from the "input" connector on the Plasma II) to pins 34 and 35, per the manual. I'm pretty sure that's right but want to confirm.

2) The Output connector from the Plasma II has manifold pressure and engine timing available. MP is 0.01 volts per inch of MP. Timing is 0.01 volts per degree. Can I use two Enhanced General Purpose inputs for these, and then configure the Dynon to read MP and timing? By using the Plasma II MP output reduces the number of wires through the firewall and eliminates the bulky MP sensor provided.

Can someone comment on these points?

Thanks!

Russ,
I think 34/35 is right for the plasmas- what is the voltage output of the units?

It is possible to manually make a sensor file that uses that manifold pressure output. However, I'd guess it wouldn't be very accurate. The sensor we use varies from 0-2.5V from 0-30in of manifold pressure. The plasma varies 0.029V. So the voltage varies 1/100th as much. Technically, the SkyView will only be able to read about every 1 inch of manifold, rather than every hundredth.
