Lightspeed tach input into Flightdeck D180

I'm about to install dual Lightspeed ignitions (two Plasma III systems).  Can anyone tell me whether they've had success in getting the Dynon D180 to accept the tach outputs of the Lightspeed units and if so, what settings did you have to enter into the D180 to make the tach read correctly?  Also, is there any reason I should only hook up one of the Lightspeed tach outputs to the Dynon or can the Dynon decipher and display a correct tach reading when I check ignitions before takeoff?  I know I can purchase the Vans tach transducer, but I really don't want to spend the $85 bucks and deal with the installation if I don't need to.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad

From our end, it seems to be hit or miss. The 10V square wave output on their "input" connector is a very short pulse. For some folks it works solid, others have issues. I'm not sure if there are different generations of electronics and perhaps that makes the difference.

Thanks Guys,,,, I'll give it a try. If no success, I'll buy the transducer from Vans and be done with it. Would you recommend I connect one ignition or two to the inputs on the Dynon?
