I am in the homestretch of my Skyview install, all of the wiring is done, AP servos installed. All that is left is to install the display in the panel and do in-plane configuration.

I subscribed to the chart data from Seattle Avionics last night and downloaded everything to a USB drive. The process took HOURS.

What can expect when I take this drive to my Skyview system in the plane and upload it? Will it be an hours-long process again? Just wondering if I need to make provisions for external power during the process.

Thanks in advance...

It won't take long to upload to the plane.
Tips for future downloads:
Select 'only new or changed items'
Choose only the regions you need
If you have usb 3.0 or better, get fast usb 3.1 sticks.
If you leave SA running and your sticks in the computer, it should (might) automatically update them while you sleep :)

??? If you just downloaded, didn't you get data that expires tomorrow?

Thank you!

I didn't notice the expiration date, I guess I will get to try the "new or changed items" option!
Thanks again
