Local GND or Single Point GND for heated pitot?

Any recommendations on local ground vs single point ground on heated pitot? Just as soon not run the ground wire all the way to the firewall if I don't have to.

As long as the ground path/wire is sufficient to handle the 10A load, it doesn't really matter if you ground locally or not.
