The D100 installed in our aircraft has suddenly developed a problem with the altitude display. Three times over a period of 20 minutes the d100 display turned black or a very dark grey with the words 'No Altitude' displayed faintly in the background. After a few seconds the unit turned back to its usual colour screen. After the third repeat of the dark screen the unit remained on for the remainder of the flight without any further problems, a colleague also reported the same occurrence the following day but the d100 stayed on after only 1 restart.
Any thoughts as to a possible cause or suggestions as to what to look for would be very much appreciated.
I'm pretty sure its not a power failure as the screen does not close down completely and the Dynon logo is not displayed.

What you're describing is likely the failure of an inertial sensor and will require repair at Dynon Avionics. Please call (425-402-0433) or email (support at dynonavionics dot com) our Technical Support group for a Return Material Authorization (RMA).
