Magnetic heading

Hi,

I had my trusty old D10 upgraded recently along with the remote magnetic sensor. It is precessing in turns. I do not remember the D10 doing that. Anyone else have this problem?

Upgrading to 3.0 software and re-calibrating the compass should help with this. Be sure to enter the magnetic inclination and intensity before you re-calibrate. Intensity is new in the 3.0 SW.

I upgraded to 3.0, set the intensity and inclination and calibrated the compass. It precesses. I checked the alignment between the D10A and the remote and the angles are the same.

Can you describe the exact behavior you're seeing?

I reinstalled the 3.0 software and calibrated and now it looks pretty good. There must have been some problem with the first software installation.
