Manifold sensor in a new Skyview network installation does not read on the monitor,(red x thru the display when engine is running or not) unplug the sensor wires and the red x goes away and display reads ambient pressure. Wiring is verified. All other sensors work correctly. Is it a sensor malfunction?

I had a similar issue with my MP, replaced the sensor and it worked perfectly. You might just check you're getting 5v across the power wires(I think its pins A and C, but check).

So MAP wouldn't read ambient if it's truly disconnected, so that tilts me towards thinking this is a wiring issue.

I get +5v and grd where I am supposed to and I pined the last lead back to the connection on the EMS. What other wiring would I need to have to check? Is there a way to check the MAP with a meter?

Here's the link from my post regarding similar issue:

There's a bit of of description of what I did the try to isolate the issue in there as well.

I misspoke actually. Turns out what you're seeing could be a disconnected MAP sensor after all.

You should be able to measure a voltage on the signal output wire from the MAP sensor.

Also, people do tend to mix up the A/B/C pins on occasion, so you might check that.
