Manifold Pressure Sensor

I have been having issues with the manifold pressure sensor. If entering the pattern at the airport, as I slowly reduce power to idle, the manifold pressure goes to the red X then will go back to reading once engine rpm (or engine vacuum) has decreased. Acts like the sensor goes open beyond a certain place during high engine vacuum. Probably just a bad sensor, but has anyone else noticed this behavior?

We do show a red X below about 5 inHg of pressure, but I've never seen an engine get that low. Is your engine dropping that low when you pull the power?

Never actually looked, I will check it out and let you know.

Mine does the same thing. Never thought it was much of a problem.

Thanks for the comments here guys. The day this got mentioned here I happened to notice it on our plane when I pulled the power quickly in a descent.

The next software update will lower this to about 2.5inhg so this behavior should go away. We can't go quite to zero because we do actually want the sensor to red-X if the wiring ever gets shorted out, and 0" and a dead short are the same thing.
