On the touch, the map page allows 6 data blocks and 4 touch blocks.  At 40 or 50% a lot of the map is hard to see.

Any way to increase/adjust transparency?  If not, I'd suggest that for the next OS update.

Unless I am missing something, except for manipulating actual code, is there any way to change the font color and density of the Map Info text?

The map info items are not adjustable. However, the colors and stylings of the items on the map itself can be tailored. See these threads for some information and past pilot discussions on the adjustments they've made:

In addition, I had mentioned in an earlier post that when viewing my 7" screen located in the center stack (used only for moving map), the font for labels and traffic is difficult to read. An example is the text for traffic that shows + or - feet. I can read the feet number, but can't easily tell if it is + or - without straining forward against my shoulder harness. That is a cockpit distraction. It would really be great if we could at least adjust the font size. Is there any hope of adjusting some things in the future, or should we just give up on that idea?

I emphasize again, I don't want to re-write code or manipulate serious files.
As an end user, I would just like to choose a different color and opacity level on the side items (vertical stack) of the map. On the 7" display they are too difficult to see. The brighter the screen, the more washed out they become.

I just want adjustable font sizes - especially the small windows like on the PFD (GS, TAS, CRS, etc.)

I would vote have have all data at the bottom and leave the area around the plane especially in the 180 degrees in front, 9 oclock and between 3 oclock clear of data covering the map and traffic
