Map decluttering and colour options?

Is there a way to declutter the map and perhaps change it's colour theme? It's so messy it's hard to see what's going on even on the 10" HDX!
I'd also prefer to have airports shown as "Earls Colne" rather than "EGSR" for example, is this possible?

Attached are two examples in the same location and zoom level, look how much clearer and easier to read the Sky Demon map is.

The basemap in your system is based upon the applicable ICAO chart for your location (Europe). The SkyDemon map is not. However, you could try going into MAP SETUP – Moving Map Preference Configuration to turn off the display of some items to declutter your display.

You can also adjust all of the colors, line widths, style, etc., in the config files. Just download them, edit, and upload. E.g.,

OK, after a bunch of searching, and looking at what a few people have fiddled with and puzzled out, I made a few changes to my map colors, BUT...it sure would be nice if Dynon could provide some documentation on these fields. After all, it's only been a decade or so now that this has been out...

What you see here is with everything off that can be, it's more the colour choices and the way airspace and airports are shown, just hard to read.

Thanks for your replies! I'll look into this.
Would be handy if Dynon had a few preset options to choose from (SkyDemon does) rather than having to edit my own but that's certainly better than nothing.
