MAP Direct To Function Change w/SW Package 16.0.1

I recently loaded the SkyView Classic 16.0.1 Software Package (3/25/2021) and for some reason when I go to MAP/Direct To and select an airport and then Direct To, it does not draw the line from my current location to the airport that I am trying to go to. Works if I do this on my initial setting, but if I change it after the flight has started it does not draw the direct to line from the current location to the airport.

I noticed that if I go to my Garmin 430W and I set up Direct To the same airport that I selected on my Skyview, then the Skyview display draws the line from the current location to the airport I had selected as Direct to. I have been flying with this Skyview system since 2013 and had never seen this. Did something change or when I loaded the 16.0.1 SW package from 3/25/2021 change some setting?

It sounds ike youo have your Garmin 430 selected as your Map/Flight Plan source...

For the "direct to" leg, are you looking for a magenta line or a white line?

Looking for the magenta line. It shows up on my initial "Direct To", but if I make a change while in flight and say "Direct To" another airport, it will not show the magenta line until I go to the 430W config it for "Direct To".

In the past I never had to select the 430W or the Skyview as the source. I only had to make a selection of "HSI" once I had the Auto Pilot engaged and I wanted it to follow the 430W. Something is different after I loaded the 16.0.1 SW package from March 25, 2021.

BTW, how do you select plan source?

You need to read the User's Manual. You can select the FP source, the HSI source, the BRG1 and BRG2 sources...

Go read up and get familiar with how this works...it's very easy to get the system at cross-purposes, where one source is being *displayed* while the other is the one being *navigated* by the Autopilot.

Thank you all. I will go read the manual. Especially 7-53. I was just surprised by the change since since 2013 there has been no issue.
