I hope the screen shot is displayed, I've seen this purple patchwork back ground a few times and I can't report any specific action that caused it to come or go.
Igor the warning, its for the autopilot servos which were off line.

Those are areas that do not have weather downloaded. If you turn off the weather layer they will go away, or if you wait for ADS-B to receive they will go away.
