G'day ... I'd like a MARK function to drop a symbol on screen when I fly over something of significance .. such as survivors in the water or a bushfire etc. MIL aircraft often have this function and it makes returning to a point very easy.

Cheers, Stu

How about an obstacle display / warning like in the Garmin G3X?

Can you display all the taxi lights on the side of the runways on the SV display so that I I do not run Into another one with my propeller. ;D

G'day again. May I suggest:

1. a glide range ring;
2. option for VNE display in KTAS - for those that are flutter speed limited; and
3. a one-button MARK function to store the current position for search and rescue and fire fighting purposes.

Cheers, Stu

Folks, check the Garmin G3X. It shows obstacles like towers, powerlines, etc. in the 3D view / synthetic vision. That's pretty nice if you fly around dusk or towards the sun!

We already display runways, obstacles and traffic on Synthetic vision and we have for a while now.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware of that. It's some time that I saw a Dynon EFIS live. How does the traffic display look like? Is there some video or some photos?

The traffic is in the first photo- it's the yellow ball on the left with the "2" in it. It's two miles away and should be exactly where it's shown on the screen.

Ok, got it.

Something else I didn't find in the current feature list is voice warnings.
Definitely nice would be
"TERRAIN"
"PULL UP"
"TRAFFIC"

Was flying past Las Vegas the other day and noted that the 30 mile class C airspace was not shown. Did I miss something or is the Class C airspace not shown in the mapping database?
If it is not, it should be included in future development.

Do you mean the Mode C Veil where a transponder is required? If so, this is not in the FAA or Jeppesen databases so we don't have a way to show it. You won't find it on a Garmin X96 either.

If you mean a Class C airspace, can you give us more details as to which airspace was missing?

Class C airspace is correctly shown on the SkyView map.  Tucson is Class C airspace and is displayed properly.  Las Vegas has no Class C airspace, so asaflyer must be referring to the Mode C Veil. My Garmin 430 does not show the mode C veil either.

Of all the things I care about, the Mode C veil is the least of them...is there someone out there flying around with a Skyview and all that that entails who *doesn't* have a transponder? :)

SkySailor, I agree that I can get our 396 to show Mode C veils, but I cannot get our 696 to do it, so it appears it's product specific in that case.

Sorry, I am referring to the Class C 30 nm veil in which a transponder and communications are required. The Class C veil is shown on sectional and wac charts. Would be nice to have it on our moving map as well.

Ive just finished the flight testing of a Chelton Flight Logic EFIS and HeliSAS autopilot in a UH-1N. Some nice features of that system that you might consider for use in the Skyview (which I am installing in my RV-8) are as follows:
1. Highway in the sky. I know your working on it and I like it very well, it is very compelling and easy to use, especially IFR.
2. User defined waypoints, brg&dist or Lat Long, elevation, and approach direction. These could be manually entered or set by a 'mark' or 'overfly' function.
3. VFR approaches from an IP on extended final with HITS to runways or user defined waypoints.
4. Climb Descent angles for HITS guidance during VFR approaches.
5. Vertical navigation in flight planning. ie the ability to set altitudes for each position so the HITS or autopilot follows lateral and vertical guidance.
6. Cross loading of flight plans & approaches from 3rd party TSO GPS's (eg G430/530) to reduce the requirement to enter the flight plan in more than one place.

I like the way Dynon delivers a good product, well priced on time. Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Nigel
