Map joystick location

On a D1000T with a 40/40/20 display with the Map on the left, is it possible to configure the right joystick to control the map? The only joystick configuration I can find relates to the Full Screen map.

When in split-screen, the joystick "closest" to the map will always be its control, and the other joystick will be Bugs adjustment. There isn't a way to adjust that placement.
