MDA Bug Not Sticking

Now that I have the new knob panel installed, I repurposed one of the knobs on my dual display setup to be MDA. Whenever I power the system up though, this setting is forgotten and it reverts to BARO. I have to manually reassign the knob every flight. I assume this is a bug and not intentional; is that correct?
