Mounting Bracket for Glasair

This is a point blank question.  I have my 2-axis Trutrak autopilot in a box ready to ship to its new owner.  Before I do that, please confirm that Dynon servos will mount in my existing brackets and connect with my existing pushrods.

I have completed the installation on my Glasair II for TruTrak pitch and roll servos.  I am willing to loan you the hardware and provide photos for development of the Dynon installation kit for the Glasair if you wish. I suspect that your generic kit would work just fine.

The mounting points and other dimensions for the Dynon servo make it a 99% drop in for any TruTrak install.

There are only two real differences in the install. The Dynon servo has bare wires instead of a D9 connector, so you may need to add or change connectors. The other thing is that the Dynon servo has some wires on the side that can require a small notch in some mounting brackets, but that's totally dependent on the install.

We'd love any pictures any customers have. Please send them to support at dynonavionics.com.

I am building a Glasair Super II RG as well and would welcome the pics so an install kit could be developed. Dynon is my choice for for flight instruments and autopilot. The support and responsiveness of the company is one of the major reasons I made the choice to use Dynon.

I, too, would love any information on Glasair autopilot installations. I have an older G1RG and am looking to do a new install (no autopilot at present).

E-mail me for pictures. They are high resolution 1.5MB files. I really only have pictures of my pitch installation. Roll is in the right wingtip with the TruTrak bracket on the lower wing skin. I removed the foam core and directly attached the bracket to the lower skin just aft of the lower spar cap. The The control arm faces the main spar shearweb. The pushrod runs laterally and attaches to the aileron bellcrank with the same bolt that attaches the long aileron pushrod. I added an arm to the top of the bellcrank, but I don't think that is necessary.
