My Autopilot is MIA

I recently installed a new HDX in an effort to find a radio noise problem. The new HDX did not resolve the noise problem so I re-installed the original HDX. Now, with the original HDX re-installed, the autopilot button on the HDX is gone. I cannot activate the autopilot with the remote AP head. Is this a programming issue or ?????

Thanks,
Glen

Just some easy checks:

1. Did you go to setup on the HDX and verify that the servos and AP control head are being recognized on the Skyview network?
2. Do you have VP-X, and if so did you open up the VP-X menu from the engine page and verify that the servos are not faulted out?

First of, how did you determine the radio noise is from the Dynon HDX EFIS? The autopilot panel interface to the HDX is connected through the SkyView network cable. As long as the SkyView Network cables integrity is good, then you should get the Autopilot.

In term of the noise, do you have a separate com panel? Have you tried to diagnose it without the HDX?
