I have installed mySV-XPNDR-261. It is working but only in Charlie (the S mode does not work)

I have changed the antenna and it is the same. Could the cable be the problem? (very short cable. maybe 30cm)

I think that my setup is perfect...

What is your setup ? Did you change the Tail # ? Which cable are you talking about ? Is the Hex code correct ?

How do you know you are not transmitting Mode-S? The difference between Mode-S and Mode-C can generally only be seen with a Mode-S tester. Not all ground radars are Mode-S either.

Not having a Tail # or a HEX Code will cause the transponder to not turn on at all, not just limit to Mode-C.

The HEX code is correct and check by other, the cable is the one between the Transponder and the antenna

At least in the United States, most controllers would have no idea if you were Mode-S equipped or not, so that does not surprise me. The way to know if your transponder is working correctly is to have it tested by an avionics shop. In the USA, you legally must have the transponder tested before operating it.

We are not experts at what ATC can see in other countries, so you'll need to check for yourself if ATC can tell Mode-S and Mode-C targets apart.

There is no way the RF cable could make the transponder work in Mode-A and Mode-C modes but not Mode-S.
