I am in the process of changing my N number. The FAA sent me a form to OK the change. In addition to the obvious tail number change I have to change my number in Skyview. There are two places that I am aware, including the transponder. I am still using v.13x. The FAA so far has not changed the hexadecimal so that remains the same? I thought you had to manually change that when a new N is issued (none yet), or does the FAA reassign the existing hexi to the new N? What will the ADS-B out show??

Thanks for shedding light on this!

Your N number and ICAO are mathematically related, so they are both definitely changing.

With V13 you need to update both, the N in AIRCRAFT INFO and the ICAO in the transponder. You'll need to get the new one from the FAA somehow.

With v14, just put your N number in AIRCRAFT INFO and it will auto calculate the ICAO.

For those that are planning a change, there are a number of web sites that contain ICAO coding and decoding of N numbers. I found one and tested it by entering my current number and current ICAO. each time it coded/decoded correctly. Then I put in the new number and have the ICAO. I will test with ATC this weekend.
